Free Red Sox Games

Free Red Sox Games & Help the Environment
Interested in attending Red Sox games for free? UGBC and the Boston Red Sox are teaming up for to volunteer their time. Volunteering at games would include: getting to Fenway two hours prior to the first pitch, wearing a Green Team t-shirt and hat, collecting recyclables between innings, and watching the game. UGBC is also looking for two leaders of the group to help organize & motivate the group of 50. It would require serving as a liaison between UGBC and the Red Sox. There will be an opportunity to volunteer at games in the summer for those who already participated in the Spring. If you are interested in being selected as a leader, include a brief paragraph as to why you should be selected by Friday, March 28th. BC's Best Singer/Songwriter Preliminary Competition
Think you're the best singer or songwriter BC has to offer? Win the chance to compete in BC's Best during the 2008 Arts Festival by competing in this year's Singer/Songwriter Preliminary Competition, brought to you by UGBC, the Arts Council, the Music Guild and Nights on the Heights. Sign up for this event by Wednesday, April 2nd at 5:00PM on the door of Devlin 420, then come to the Chocolate Bar on Friday, April 4th to perform up to two songs, with a maximum performance time of nine minutes. The top four performers will compete at BC’s Best at the Arts Festival on April 24th. The winning act at the festival will receive a $250 cash prize! Acquaintance Rape: Hidden Crime on College Campuses
On Friday, March 28th, Ms. Andrea Parrot will be discussing acquaintance rape as it relates to college campuses and the athletic community. The lecture will be followed by a Q and A and a book signing. This lecture is the kickoff event for CARE week (Concerned ABout Rape Education Week). The night will begin at 7:00PM in Cushing 001. Mary Kaye Waldron Award Winner
UGBC and the University Affairs Department would like to congratulate Father Paul McNellis, SJ, on receiving the 13th Annual Mary Kaye Waldron Award. The award banquet will take place on Monday, April 28th, in the Murray Function Room of the Yawkey Athletic Center. Grocery Shuttles
Remember the grocery shuttles? Now starting at 1PM from Conte Forum with the last bus leaving Star Market at 4PM, these convenient buses will be BC Shuttle Buses labeled "Out of Service" with a grocery shuttle sign in the window. Buses will run on March 30, April 6, 13,20, 27, and May 4. Come out and take advantage of this great new service, and get your groceries the easy way!
