Undergraduate Leadership Academy
Directors of the Undergraduate Leadership Academy
Description
The Undergraduate Leadership Academy (ULA) is a program for first-year students that serves to assist with the transition into the Boston College community and as an introduction to the Undergraduate Government of Boston College (UGBC). In addition, freshmen will be paired up with a mentor who will serve as a valuable resource throughout the BC experience. The organization's goal is to assist with the formation of the UGBC's future leaders through discussions, experiences, and friendships. Not only does ULA focus on the individual's formation, but also on how to engage topics of serious conversations with the greater Boston College community.

Hello! My name is Drew Boland and I am super excited to be Co-Directing ULA this year! I am from St. Louis, Missouri, and I am a senior studying Finance with a minor in International Studies. I spent the spring semester of my Junior year studying abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland, and I can't wait to be back at BC to welcome the Class of 2022 to the UGBC family. You can find me on the golf course, in the Ratt, or *sometimes* in Bapst (never O'Neill). If there's a dog on campus, chances are you'll find me there too. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about ULA, UGBC, or just want to chat! I'm looking forward to an awesome year!
Hey! My name is Tiffany Oluoch and I'm a senior, majoring in Environmental Studies. I grew up between Tanzania and Kenya before I came out here for school. Due to my warm upbringing, I despise winter. However, I have now learned to make a dope lentil soup, so if you also struggle with the cold, hit me up for the recipe. I love hiking, long roadtrips, photography, brilliant actor Timothee Chalamet and rocks shaped like hearts. I dislike ice cream (controversial, but don't worry, I'm cool), running more than a mile and the color brown. Beyond ULA, I take pics for the Gavel and I'm an ambassador for MAIP, a multicultural advertising program that has opened a ton of doors for me.
If you want to learn more about my strange taste and life story, catch me working at the Plex, or taking up critical space in the Chocolate Bar!
